We are a young family with big dreams—dreams of raising our children with hands-on skills and deep wisdom that the modern world often forgets to pass down.

Our home is a charming wooden hut nestled in the heart of the pristine, picturesque Toorumbee Valley, just west of Kempsey. Surrounded by wild beauty, we live close to the earth and strive to grow what nourishes us—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

At the heart of Toorumbee Mountain Herbs is Dee Heagney—wife, mother, herbalist, teacher, Bowen therapist, farmer, gardener, beekeeper, and nature lover with far too many hobbies and an even bigger passion for natural healing.

Dee dreams of a world where we reconnect with nature’s wisdom—where herbs and plants are honoured for their power to heal, and where care for our bodies and spirits comes straight from the soil, the sun, and the bees.

Our handcrafted products—herbal salves, balms, extracts, soaps, and oils—are made in small batches using high-quality herbs and oils, paired with premium fats and pure beeswax from our untouched local environment. Each creation is made with intention, love, and a deep respect for the way nature intended us to live and heal.

Meet Dee

Dee Heagney

Hi, I’m Dee — the hands and heart behind Toorumbee Mountain Herbs.

I’m a wife of an extremely patient and supportive man, a mum of two wild and wonderful kids, a practicing herbalist, Bowen therapist, gardener, keeper of the Bees (Dee's Bees), and bush-loving soul with a deep passion for traditional wisdom and natural living.

Over the years, I’ve woven together skills that once lived in every home—growing, foraging, preserving, healing—and I’ve turned them into a daily rhythm that nourishes our family and, now, our community. Whether I’m harvesting calendula from the garden, pouring beeswax into salves, or teaching others about plant medicine, I do it all with one simple belief:
